LRS again.

I've renewed my line rental saver which is due 31/12.
The confirmation e mail states it will start at my next billing date, 1/11. That can't be correct?
Where has the two months gone? I hope the problems of last year have not reared their ugly head again.

Re: LRS again.

I understand the expiry date will change accordingly when our current 12 months expires and we won't lose out.
We will see.

it has always said that
It doesn't seem capable of differentiating between a renewal and a new start

Re: LRS again.

Jim is right.
I've dealt with a similar post here:
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,131175.msg1143783.html#msg1143783
It seems that the email is tailored for end users who are in the last month of their LRS contracts.
It won't take effect until your intial LRS has run out.
@newagetraveller - Sorry for the confusion .

Re: LRS again.

Thanks for the replies.
I'll see what happens on the 1/11 and then the 31/12. I just don't want a re-run of last years problems with LRS and line rental being taken after paying upfront for LRS after the renewal date. Roll_eyes
I hope not because I agreed to a further contracted period yesterday.

Re: LRS again.

There was a good reason why those of us who could beat the recent price increase paid LRS 3 months ( less a couple of days) early.
It saved us money - I'm paid up until 17th Dec 2015.

In my case it gets it out of the way before the big Christmas spend.

Easy Smiley I've just received a 0% on purchases for 19 months credit card and used that as soon as possible to pay for the LRS renewal. It can then be paid off over 14 months interest free. Smiley
Also, similar to Strat, it's done prior to the "big spend"!
Thankfully (financially) only two grandchild. Roll_eyes

Re: LRS again.

Not sure what problems there were previously with LRS but I recently renewed LRS and have just been billed for line rental. Called CS about it and they assure me that the money will be refunded within a few weeks time (but not before I pay out the extra money for line rental that will be taken in error on this month's bill).
I know problems happen but it does concern me reading this thread that this may be a repeat of an issue that I would have hoped would have been resolved by now.
Apparently not an isolated issue either as CS rep mentioned it has been happening several times recently.
Whilst I don't appreciate Plusnet holding onto my cash for a week or two when it should be in my pocket, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope it gets resolved quickly.

I paid early as in doing so I beat the September price rise .

Re: LRS again.

I would just like to add my +1 to this thread. I renewed LRS in August. On checking my bank statement today I noticed I was charged for line rental in October. I am waiting on a reply to my ticket.

Re: LRS again.

Hi aldabra,
Looks like this should be resolved for you now by the looks of the support ticket.
