Keep phone number - gap in move dates

I move house next week and Plusnet Fibre Broadband is not available. (Well it is but the cabinet isn't accepting new orders!)

I want to keep my number but we move out Tuesday and move in on Saturday. I've had to opt for Virgin to get decent broadband and they've got an installation date of 11th October.

Is my number saved somewhere in the mean time? Virgin know I want to keep it.

Re: Keep phone number - gap in move dates

@Dumbledore I had Virgin installed yesterday and they were supposed to port my number too. I've now been told the 17th!

Do you have any idea what is happening here?

Do I have to keep paying for Plusnet until the 17th as I am no longer in the property.

Thanks

Re: Keep phone number - gap in move dates

I'm not sure why there's been a delay as the port out date is still showing as the 5th.

Once the port completes your phone line and broadband will be ceased

It was eventually ceased but you've kept billing me despite closing my account! I've raised another question on the forum asking for my refund which has been promised but hasn't materialised!

Hi @emerald, thanks for your post.

You're 100% correct - our system issues are not your problem in any way but we do appreciate your patience.
