Re: Is it okay to unplug my phone?

In case you ever need your landline phone, you could register with:
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
and also go ex-directory.

Keep hold of the handset - if you ever have problems with the broadband you may need to plug it in to check if the phone is working OK.

Well, it cut my unwanted calls substantially.

Its also worth opting out of the 'Open' electoral register - https://www.gov.uk/electoral-register/opt-out-of-the-open-register

Re: Is it okay to unplug my phone?

I used to get shed-loads of unwanted calls, but after ignoring any call where I didn't recognise the number (or it was unavailable/witheld), the incidence has dropped to 3 or 4 a week. Don't know if that's the reason, but I am happy.  Smiley
As a side-note, my 2 mobile numbers have had about half-a-dozen spam calls/texts between them, and I've had my Vodafone number for longer than I care to remember.
