International Calls

Why is there no call feature that allows the rejection of International calls, I  have no reason to receive calls from abroad (they are always unwanted sales/scams) so why can't there be an option to reject these similar to anonymous calls. Your system knows it's an international call because my caller display says so, therefore it must be technically possible.

Re: International Calls

Hi fragile - we buy our lines from BT Openreach and are restricted to the call features offered by them. Unfortunately no such feature exists so we can't offer it to our customers.

Re: International Calls

Anybody out there with a phone which achieves the same functionality, I can block numbers with my current phone but if there is no number then it's not possible.

Re: International Calls

That's the problem....no number.
However my phone can tell the difference between 'number withheld' and 'international' which still doesn't help Sad

Re: International Calls

My phone has 'Withheld', 'Unavailable' and 'International'. Now it should be easy for a phone manufacturer to give you the option to put these on the bar list but I've not found one which does. I presume there is some reason why they don't but I don't know what it is. Paying £4/month to block anonymous seems a waste as it doesn't fully achieve the result I want as a large proportion are now Int calls.

The best I can do with my phone is to set it not to ring when an anonymous call comes through. That, or I can choose to divert the call to answer machine (in which instance I would have to do that manually when the call is coming through), which I can set to announce such calls are not accepted and then it would disconnect the call.
