I thought 0870 & 0845 numbers were included?

I have an inclusive package (International 300 which is £6 pm) and I thought 0870 and 0845 numbers were included in this.  However, I've been charged for several calls this months.
I now understand that some of these calls are not actually included but I can't find a list anywhere.  Can somebody please provide a link?
TIA

i'm not sure it's a straight forward answer sadly, but it's certainly Calling Card and Dial-through access numbers and dial-up internet access.
there is a list of numbers which is probably not dissimilar to this http://www.bt.com/pricing/current/Call_Charges_boo/1632_d0e5.htm#1632-d0e5

Re: I thought 0870 & 0845 numbers were included?

I'll have a look at that, but I certainly haven't dialled anything other than straight forward telephone numbers.  I don;'t even know what Calling Card and dial-through access numbers are, and I wouldn't have any need to use dial-up internet access.
Does anybody else think this SHOULD be a straight forward matter?  It's all very well saying that these packages include some of the 0845 and 0800 numbers, they need to provide a list of those numbers that aren't included.  I doubt PN are alone in this stealth charging though.  When I signed up for PN I didn't realise they were part of BT, but presumably any company using BT lines would be making similar charges?
I've had a quick scan of the link you provided.  Good grief!  Are customers really expected to look up every number they dial to check that in fact their 'inclusive', 'free' calls are actually not 'inclusive' or 'free'?

What were the first six digits of each chargeable number out of curiousity ?

It's really not that straightforward unfortunately, companies will use new numbers/change numbers and the frequency of these changes would make any list near impossible to keep updated.
Have you opened a ticket about the charges as if they are just standard calls they shouldn't be charged.

I've just seen the ticket on your account, and can see why the charges have been applied. I'll respond to the ticket explaining.

Thanks Chris - I've now read the answer which explains it. Embarrassed
Also, those folks who helped by replying to my post.
Chris has explained that although I have made calls to 0845 numbers, the ones I have been charged for are actually calls to 0844 numbers.  Whoops - I'll get my coat. Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

Re: I thought 0870 & 0845 numbers were included?

I suspected as much (hence asking for the first digits earlier).
Easy mistake to make and my wife did exactly the same by assuming the 0844 our doctors surgery were using was included in the 0845 / 0870 calls
I point blank refuse to dial any 0844 or premium rate numbers and will use the www.saynoto0870.com website to find alternatives - it's a great site and covers most numbers you'd be otherwise charged for Smiley

Re: I thought 0870 & 0845 numbers were included?

Thanks for sorting this one out Chris; the non-inclusive 0845 / 0870 consists of thousands of numbers but CSC have access to it and can confirm whether a number should be charged or not if a customer raises a ticket.
