How to cancel pending Home Phone order ?

I selected a new Home Phone product via the Upgrade Account procedure on Friday, but I've now changed my mind and want to cancel the pending Home Phone order.
How do I go about it?

I was hoping that there would be a cancel button in the portal somewhere; I would much rather manage things online.

Call waiting times are currently in excess of 25 minutes. Is there really no other way to convey this simple information to Plusnet ?

Is there a ticket on your account requesting the upgrade - if so you could reply to it

Not that I can see. Maybe I'll just send a letter: it's cheaper than a 25-minute phone call and less stressful!

You say that you selected a new home phone product. Does this mean that you have an existing home phone product?  If so then calls to the main Plusnet support number (not sure about the cancellations line below) are free.

I would think that time was of the essence. There is a special number (0845 140 6002) for cancellations so response times may be better (or worse!) for that  than the general support line.

I didn't have an existing home phone product; I added one when I upgraded my broadband product.
It was the 0845 140 6002 number which I tried today, and which had the 25 minute call waiting time!
So I posted a letter to Plusnet this afternoon; that should arrive tomorrow.

I'd be happy to cancel this for you now (before the letter gets here and the order gets an appointment) but would you mind raising a ticket on your account requesting the cancellation please? It is regrettable that Plusnet has seemingly set its face against any online cancellation procedure and that, consequently, support staff will need to field these questions indefinitely.
