Homephone essential package - call charges for 0844 numbers?

Can you please advise call charges for 0844 numbers and also where is this info
in your call charge detail,

You need to look up the charge rate group in the BT price list - http://www.serviceview.bt.com/list/public/current/Call_Charges_boo/1632_d0e5.htm#1632-d0e5 ; and then look up the price in the Tariff Guide - http://www.plus.net/images/residential/voice/pdf/essential_home_phone_tariffs.pdf
For this group of specialised numbers, the prices should be identical to BT.

I believe its 2ppm during the daytime or 1ppm in the evenings.

0844 calls are classed as:
UK Call to destination type Internet Service - g2
UK Call to destination type Internet Service - g4

Hi thank you both for feedback. Once I looked at the BT billing detail I realized that I needed
to check for further dialled digits after the 0844 so using 084479 puts me in (BT)
chargeband g9 which results in call charges of 1.96p (2p) pm at all times.

Sorry James, there are many many more rates than that, the next 2 and sometimes 3 digits after the 0844 are relevant, and of course there is no logical pattern to this either. We have OFCOM's predecessor OFTEL to thank for yet another illogical consumer confusing numbering scheme.
