Home phone move

Hi! This is my first post since switching from BT. I'm not sure if this is quite the right thread for my query but I hope it's ok.
My broadband moved over to Plusnet a few days ago without a hitch, and a bonus came in the form of significantly increased speed results.  Grin
My telephone is due to transfer from BT in a few days time, and a letter from them tells of problems if I move over without having details of my new line provider. They suggest I contact whoever it may be and at the same time ask for my present number to stay the same. Can anyone advise who I should contact? Cheers.

Re: Home phone move

Despite their scaremongering it should happen automatically as you aren't moving from or to an LLU phone which is the only time things can go wrong
You could ring Plusnet if you want further reassurance but you may have a bit of a wait.
Alternatively wait for it to be picked up here on Monday

Many thanks, Jim. I'll maybe wait and see if it happens automatically.

Hi Chris (et al)
Changeover has happened without a hitch. However, in the event of any line problems in the future is the Plusnet help line the way to go?
Cheers

Many thanks, will do. But, to-date all has gone as smoothly as I could have wished for.  Smiley
