My mother has moved in to a care home. Her house (where she would like to live) currently has Phone and BB supplied by PN.
1). Is it possible to cancel BB and just keep home phone?
The care home she lives in has dedicated phone lines to each room from the local exchange
2). If yes to 1), She would like to keep her current phone number, is it possible to transfer her phone number to a different exchange in the same area code?
Her current phone number is 01234 68nnnn, the care home phone number is 01234 60nnnn, so same area code different exchange.
Hope this makes sense!
Dan.

Hi there,
Yes it is still possible to cancel the broadband and keep the phone, though I'm not sure how that would work with a move of address as well - you'd be best asking our Customer Options team that directly as they'll be able to advise you better than I will.
Unfortunately though if the new line is attached to a different exchange it won't be possible to port the number - that's only possible between lines connected to the same exchange.
Hope that helps.
