Home Phone Opt 2

Recently went to BBYW Opt 2 and am now considering adding Home Phone opt 2.
I have looked but can't seem to find the answers to the following:
Do I need to cancel or contact BT?
When would my last Direct Debit payment go out to BT and would they then refund me the surplus in my account (there is always a surplus)!
Will I have an interruption to my land line service or Broadband?
How long does it take?
Will your prices always stay competitive or will they creep up?
Cheers

Re: Home Phone Opt 2

I have had Homephone Anytime since December of last year. All you have to do is add it on to your account on the portal.  I was connected within about two weeks and Force 9 informed BT.  I did contact BT after the changeover because they owed me money from overpayments.  PN will send you an e-mail when they have taken responsibility for the line.
There was no interruption to BB or telephone.

Thanks Poppy, that sounds great - I may well just go do it now.

Re: Home Phone Opt 2

A couple of weeks after I switched, BT actually sent me a letter and credited me.

Re: Home Phone Opt 2

I used to have a paperless n Internet account with BT and paid by DD so I just e-mailed them and they sorted it out fairly quickly.

BT will recieve a report, which will feature your line, so they should cancel your account as a result.

They should apply a refund automatically but I'd recommend giving them a quick call once the transfer is complete.

Nope. Smiley

How long does it take?

10 - 14 days, but once the order is accepted we'll email you with the transfer date.

We're always working to keep our products competitive, and the upcoming changes to Anytime+ (removal of the 1000 minutes Fair Usage Policy) back that up IMO.
There'll be more to follow over the next few months. Wink

I'm on Broadband Plus.
If I add Anytime Home Phone, do I have to switch to Broadband Your Way or can I stay on Broadband Plus?

Nope, you're absolutely fine using Home Phone with Broadband Plus.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Also, does the 300 international minutes include mobiles (as we often call to mobiles in Portugal) ?

Re: Home Phone Opt 2

Hi,
I'm afraid that this is only applicable for landlines in the top 20 international destinations.
