Help continuous dial tone

I have a dial tone and when I try to make a call it doesn't call it just goes back to dial tone had this problem for weeks now, have done a phone line check and it says there is a fault on the line outside the property and they are sorting it, rand and done online chat just fobbing me off all the time, they are still quick enough taking the payment every month even though I can't us the phone

Having checked the notes on your account I can see that many of the exchanges in your area were affected by an outage. However, this outage has now been resolved and I have identified a separate external fault which is affecting your specific phone line. I've raised this with our suppliers on your behalf and you can find the information here
