The reason for my call is to investigate the possibility, cost and time etc
to reroute my communications line into my bungalow before building work
starts in April when I know it is likely to get damaged.
Jake on the technical desk put me through to Harry who checked and advised
(rightly) that this had to be undertaken by BT or Openworld as they are now
called.
Harry gave me the number 0800 581 525. This is incorrect.
The number you need is 0800 023 2023. I suggest you circulate this round so
your guys can update their reference manual/ number book.
I phoned this number - you need option 3 followed by option 2.
They (BT) will assign an survey engineer to come out within 25 working days
at an up front cost of £199.00 and give you a job reference.
They will also give you the name and mobile for the surveyor so you can call him (allow 48 hours) to arrange a visit time.
