Has anyone ported a (PlusNet) landline to a virtual provider?

I'm moving to a new area for 6 months and I want to keep my phone number (which I have had over 25 years)

PlusNet can't reserve it for me and because my new house is on a different exchange they can't transfer.

Their only option is to keep both broadbands going.

Has anyone been able to transfer a PlusNet number to a virtual phone provider?

Thanks

I've ported a PN number to VOIP with no problems. AFAIK Virtual landlines are basically voip, usually supplied with a forwarding facility to another number.

Porting your existing number will automatically cease the landline and any associated broadband, so if you are still in contract then ETC's will apply.
