Go back to a previous BT landline number

Hi
I have just ordered Plusnet Broadband and home phone.
I was with TalkTalk, but before that Sky.  I believe with Sky that I would have been on a BT Wholesale landline number, which I lost when I went to TalkTalk
Would I be able to get that old number back with PlusNet?

Have you tried calling your old number?
If someone answers the call then that would confirm  the number is in use as it will have been reallocated, in which case the answer to your question would be a definite no.

I probably should have updated the thread on this one.
I spoke with OP and the number provided is a spare, so theoretically it's available. We agreed to wait until he's provisioned, and we can renumber the line.
