Fault service inaccessible

My phone has been down for two days, yesterday I initially ot through to the fault line on my mobile, but I was on a train and could not pick the reply up. Today they appear to be ghosting me. The numbers I called yesterday now go straight to Call ended.

Re: Fault service inaccessible

The numbers I had were all 0800 numbers, as on advice page. However the number you gave me behaves in the same way. I call it and immediately get the message Call ended.

Re: Fault service inaccessible

Although the 0800 numbers should still work, the number I gave is the now correct one for support. I've   just tried it and it works for me, so I've no idea what is happening for you.

Re: Fault service inaccessible

And this wasn't happening yesterday btw.
Not sure if I should start a new thread for the actual problem, which is that my home phone has a kind of growl instead of a dial tone and when I try to ring out get the message 'Please wait a moment while we check your line. The order against your line has not been completed. Please try again in a short while.'
I can live for a few days without a home phone, but not without associated broadband.

Re: Fault service inaccessible

Is this a new connection, or one that has been in place for a while?

Are you saying your BB is also down?

Re: Fault service inaccessible

I've had it for about a year, before that I was a John Lewis customer. Yes, my router is just showing orange. I've tried turning on and off and doing a pint reset, but nothing works.

Re: Fault service inaccessible

So, you have an OpenReach network issue - although the 'order' comment above is strange. I would do an automated fault report via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/

Re: Fault service inaccessible

That link just takes me back to the page with the numbers for text reporting and those numbers seem to be blocking me. Or at least they end my call as soon as I make it. I did talk to a person briefly yesterday, who may have reported an OpenReach issue, but I was not at home to do tests and did not ring her back. My fault, but not a ghosting fault I think.

Re: Fault service inaccessible

@jhv Very strange, but unfortunately I can't test them for you - I am no longer with PN.

@MatthewWheeler  - can you assist?

Re: Fault service inaccessible

I can't quite believe this, but I seem to have a coincidental fault with my (Vodafone) mobile, or have pressed the wrong button at some point. All calls I make from my mobile are going straight to Call ended. So apologies, it is my phone, not the fault line numbers. I'd still be very grateful if someone would pass on a message to OpenReach about the fault on my line, as I don't know how else to reach them.

Re: Fault service inaccessible

Unfortunately, it is not possible to 'pass a message on' - you need to contact PN, or use the fault 'bot'. Do you know anyone else with aphone - the cal can be made from any number - it does not have to be your own?
