Extremely crackly phone line - broadband all ok

I have had an extremely noisy phone line for a couple of days now. FTTC broadband is perfect.
I have followed all troubleshooting steps to no avail.
I am unable to initiate a successful line test from the troubleshooter (Oops, something seems to have gone wrong).
Please could someone run a line test to see if there is a problem.

One of Plusnet's endearing little quirks is for the phone troubleshooter to give that message even though the test has in fact raised a fault report.
You can check here: https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=search
to see if a ticket has been created.
Otherwise, one of the Plusnet help team will see this thread on Monday.
