Extremely crackly phone line - broadband all ok

I have had an extremely noisy phone line for a couple of days now. FTTC broadband is perfect.

I have followed all troubleshooting steps to no avail.

I am unable to initiate a successful line test from the troubleshooter (Oops, something seems to have gone wrong).

Please could someone run a line test to see if there is a problem.

One of Plusnet's endearing little quirks is for the phone troubleshooter to give that message even though the test has in fact raised a fault report.

to see if a ticket has been created.

Otherwise, one of the Plusnet help team will see this thread on Monday.

@198kHz is spot on with his answer, we've automatically reported the fault through to our suppliers on the back of the line test you completed online.

The estimated response time for an engineer to go out is by 05/09/18 23:59:59.
