Ex directory question

I am ex directory, or was. I have just changed over to Plusnet and this morning received a call, for me, but the caller was unknown to me. I am puzzled how they obtained my phone number, as I have changed supplier does that mean I am no longer ex-directory? If so can I change it to ex directory? Thanks.

Re: Ex directory question

I believe all PN phone orders , including transfers, are ex-directory unless requested otherwise.

Re: Ex directory question

Hi JohnCT
We automatically place our customers on Ex-Directory unless stated otherwise. I've checked the status of your line and you're 100% Ex-Directory according to our records and always have been since joining us.
I hope this helps Smiley

Re: Ex directory question

Fine, sorry to make all this trouble. I managed to contact the lady who phoned me, she was very confused, to put it kindly. It seems she phoned directory enquiries for a number (not my name) then dialled or wrote the number down incorrectly. She had no idea who I was, One could not make it up if you tried, by coincidence the person she wished to contact had the same Christian name,
