Crackling line on home phone and caller ID disappeared

Hi, I've had a crackly phone line and lost my call ID for about a week now. I Noticed a BT man doing some work at my local exchange box at around the same time that this all started. Does anyone know how I can get someone from plusnet to look into this for me.
