For each call it seems to be 15p setup charge and 10p per minute rounded up to the nearest minute

I'm not sure where you got those prices from but I don't think they are correct.
Have a look through https://www.plus.net/home-broadband/tariffs/line-only/ you'll need to select which package you are on, but in general it's 12p/min, but there is a £2.50 pm for having Call Divert operating.
Depending on how long you may want a Divert, and whether you really want to pay for SPAM calls, you may want to consider using the free Voicemail Service instead - see http://www.plus.net/support/phone/call_features.shtml#voicemail where you can have a customised greeting asking people to ring your mobile number.

@Anotherone
Using 1571 is fine if you remember to set it up before the phone goes dead Cheesy though we don't know if that's the case with this "faulty" line Shocked

I'm aware of that but as we don't know how quickly Plusnet will resolve the issue. Plusnet can always arrange the 1571 set up and the brief message which they should do for free.They don't provide Call Divert for free as we know. And as this was a more general question, I'd answered in a general way which would apply to anyone. The fault in this case is addressed elsewhere.
