Connection cuts out when holding a line

When I am waiting on hold for more than about 15 to 20 minutes, the line is cut suddenly. Three times in a row I had progressed to being the first caller in the queue, when I was cut off. This was when trying to contact my GP. Is there a PlusNet time limit on being kept on hold?

No, there's no limit to hold time. Sounds to me like the GP's system has a problem, or perhaps the receptionist is pressing the wrong button under pressure.
