Charges for home alarm notifications

Hi, Since I have taken on the Plus net home phone service I have been getting charged for receiving a text to my mobile phone from my Texecom home alarm. I did not have this issue when I was with Sky. I am charged 37p for a mobile call every time my alarm alerts me that it is active and working! I cannot work out how to stop these alerts on my alarm system and I am getting no where with Plus net. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you resolve it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for the info. I have a different alarm system, the Premier 24, so the procedure in the video clip does not relate to my system. I have looked long and hard on the internet and cannot find anything! Thanks again.

Hi BenGilbert 

I suggest you change the way your alarm alerts you when there is break in/fault

Using your landline its very easy to disconnect the line cutting the incoming cable on the outside of the property  or the feed to the pole or lifting the pit cover and cutting the main cable

After the landline  is cut the outside box is foamed to stop the sounder

The best thing is a cellular/mobile connection which is more difficult to disconnect this is the way high security systems are now connected
