Just been on the phone to plusnet asking some questions, and mentioned about my phone number and if i wanted a new number when my services get moved over to plusnet later this week, they mentioned it would be a cost of £34 summat, (not sure of the exact figure) but i thought this might of been free from what people have said, as when i have asked about this before a price has never been mentioned?.

The information you want may be here http://www.plus.net/info2/legal/price_guide.html#talk
However, I thought there was another page of information somewhere which I now can't find - I was looking at it recently, in the last couple of weeks.
It was a very clear page of information with correct charges on it, whilst the only pages I can currently find are not as clear and there are some errors. If it wasn't another page then the information has been removed from one of the existing pages - I had a feeling it was the Billing Guide or a link from it. I'll do a bit more digging, I may have a copy of the page.
Edit: In fact, some of the information I can't find included typical times that it took to move to Plusnet.
That said, if Sky block the transfer of the number and a new number is issued, I'm not sure if there is a charge in that case.
If it's a new line provide, it comes with a new number at no extra cost.

It's on here:
http://www.plus.net/info2/legal/price_guide.html#talk
The £35.85 charge is the same as what we are charged by Openreach.
