Changing to PN phone questions?

Hello,
I am thinking of changing from BT to Plusnet phone line.
My questions is at the moment my mother is paying BT for the phone and I am paying Plusnet for broadband.
Will this cause any problems if I want to change both to my name?
Also can I find out whether I can keep the same phone number before changing?
Thanks

Re: Changing to PN phone questions?

Hi davec940,
Both of these should be completely fine.
The only thing foreseeable that could cause you a problem is if you and still contractually bound by BT so I recommend getting Mrs davec940 to contact them to ensure that they're aware of what's happening.

Re: Changing to PN phone questions?

Hello Matty,
The phone has been with BT for 10+ plus years so I assume there should be no problem with being contractually bound by BT?
Thanks

It might be worth just double checking first.

Re: Changing to PN phone questions?

Definitely worth checking first but aside from that there should be no problems at all.
Warm regards
