Calls to 0551 numbers

I am on the anytime call plan and have made a call to a UK bank branch using a number starting 0551. I can not find these numbers listed in the call charges. It could be that I have missed them but I wondered what the rate is for these numbers as I have not come across them before. I don't think they are  included  in my call plan and I admit the charge was small. Out of interest can anyone tell me the rate for these numbers and what they are? I am used to 0845 etc.

Calls to 0551 are classed as g21 and g6 and the g21 should be included - they are with BT
Despite my statement above (taken from Money Saving Expert Forums) it looks as though they are charged although trying to get accurate information from the BT charges is nearly impossible

Looking into this, 0551 is not enough to give the full code.
g6 & g21 both apply to 0551 numbers and will depend on the next 3 digits after this. If they are 100, then g6 applies, all other 0551 numbers are g21 (at present).
According to BTs price list for basic inland services, both of these codes are chargeable and not included. Checking on customer options (aka, Call Plans) all state that calls to 05xx numbers are chargeable according to the standard basic inland call pricing information and not included.
Without knowing exactly which call plan you are on with ourselves, checks seem to suggest we are similar if not the same as BT.

I think I have sent you a PM with my username ( Not sent one before! ). The post was out of interest as I could not find the number listed in PN call charges. I did not know they were classed as g6 or g21. The number I called was 0551143xxxx.

During the day, it's 4.89p per minute, with a 12.5p setup fee. Rounded up as expected comes to the value applied to your account.

After many meany years spent reading the BT price list, long line before we provided phone as well, I have found it is in-fact an absolute art-form.
Section 2, part 11, sub-part 1 - This confirms the cost code as g21. It is also classified as code 11 for Customer Options, which helps define is a call is included.
Code 11 is New Voice Services Calls. Parts 55 and 56 help define the Customer Options piece. Though this is residential, so you only need to review 55.
If you read here for the current Evening & Weekend package and Anytime package, you will see the following

* 'UK' includes calls to 0870 numbers and to any number range charged at g21 rates and shown as 11 under Categorisation for Customer Options in Section 2 Part 11

So they are included within the relevant time period in the day for upto 1 hour, chargeable their-after.

Thanks for the information.
To sum up these calls are included in the inclusive calls and free with BT (depending on call plan and time).
Plusnet charge for them all the time irrespective of the call plan. They are charged at the g21 rate on the tariffs page unless they are 0551100 in which case the g6 rate applies.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
