Caller display/call waiting

Recently subscribed to caller display. Since then if someone calls my number while it is in use  they are greeted with a message telling them to leave a message, however if they do leave a message it is not registered on my phone. Do not understand as am not subscribed to Call Waiting!

Welcome to the forum. 
If Call Waiting is on, and someone calls you when your line is busy, they will hear an announcement that you're on a call. You will hear a 'beep' every few seconds, and have the choice to switch to the new call. If you ignore it, after a period the caller will then be invited to leave a message.
Sound more like you've got Voicemail (1571) activated, in which case callers will be asked to leave a message immediately if your line is busy. The messages are retrieved by dialling 1571. A 'stuttered' dial tone indicates you have a message waiting.
Is the caller display working?

Thanks. Yes caller display is working. Have now retrieved 1571 messages. How do I cancel 1571 as not required?

It wont allow me to do this. I get this message
"You currently have an order in progress to add call features
Your call feature(s) will be added to your account on the next working day.
Please note: If you've requested to add any call features, you cannot add or remove any further features until this is complete. "
I don't have an order in progress!!
