Caller ID?

I've never used this feature in my life.
Before starting paying £1 p.m. for the privilege, I want to make sure that my handset supports this.
The manual says:
Quote
When you receive a call from the fixed line network, the caller's number is displayed on the screen if the following conditions are met:
* Your fixed line network provider supports CLIP, CLI:
- CLI (Calling Line Identification): number of the caller is transmitted
- CLIP (Calling Line Identification Presentation): the caller number is displayed
* You have arranged CLIP with your network provider.
*  The caller has arranged CLI with the network provider
The phone is Siemens Gigaset S5685 IP (S5675 IP?).
Can anybody confirm that this will work and that it is just a matter of ticking "Caller Display" box in my "Home Phone Control Panel"?

Re: Caller ID?

Actually I'll amend that to it "should" work fine.
My Gigaset (non IP) phones are all happy with the CLID that Plusnet send.

Re: Caller ID?

My Gigaset is fine with it, too, but I don't know if it's one of these "IP" phones (whatever that is).
