Blocking outgoing calls

I have checked back through the forums and it seems it is not possible with PN to barr calls to mobile phone numbers.  Is this correct?  Is it possible to barr calls to premium rate numbers?  I have 3 teenagers in my house and have always used this facility in the past with previous providers.  Thanks.

Re: Blocking outgoing calls

Forgot to ask.  If it isn't possible, can I change back to BT and just keep PN fibre broadband?  Any penalty for doing this?

Re: Blocking outgoing calls

There is a thread for people to show interest in general call barring (especially to mobiles) with the hope of getting the service provided by Plusnet.  No progress has been made to my knowledge.

Re: Blocking outgoing calls

Does anyone from PN actually look at this forum, or is it's purpose purely to let off steam??????????????????????

Re: Blocking outgoing calls

Hi Wendy - we do look at the board, but we do have other pulls on our time and often can't get around to answering every customer as quickly as we would like; especially when the answer to the question isn't something that's common knowledge. We provide our telephone services through BT Openreach. As such, we can only offer the products and features that BT Openreach do.
The call barring options available to us are:
-Bar all calls
-Bar all calls except operator and 999
-Bar premium rate
-Bar premium rate & international
The debt management options (which provide similar functionality) are:
-Bar all calls
-Route to call centre
-Temporary out of service (this bars all calls - incoming and outgoing)
As you can see, there is no option to bar mobile calls only.
Hope this helps.

Re: Blocking outgoing calls

BT offer a pin code system whereby you can 'lock' your phone and just enter the four digit pin to unlock it. Do you offer this service to? If not, how do I go about barring calls to premium numbers?

Re: Blocking outgoing calls

Wendy - you'll need to raise a ticket to Support; this is outside of the normal features available to a customer so please flag back in this thread if the ticket isn't actioned correctly - it might even be worth popping a link to this thread in the ticket itself.
