Could someone answer some questions about my Phone bill.
For "Call charge for the period to 28/09/2008" my account details say £5.50. Yet when I look at the itemised bill for the period calls come to £5.34? I know it is only 16p but why the difference?
Also, I assume the itemised bill is costs without VAT?

Is it because you have some (probably three) unconfirmed calls showing. The set up fee is not included in the calls when they are unconfirmed.

Hi there,
I'll have a proper look for you when I get to the office tomorrow morning, but I'd be willing to bet you have a couple of calls which were made in a previous month but were not charged for.
We only charge you for a call when it's confirmed, and it's fairly common for one or two calls to be carried over in to the next month as some calls can take two or three days to be confirmed by BT Wholesale.

Hi,
Thanks for the replys.
Maud,
Did you confirm that was the case?

Hi there,
Having looked through your account I found that you were charged for a few duplicate calls in September. This was a problem affecting a particular day's feed from BT, and we've made changes to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I've applied a discount of £1.12 to your next bill to cover the overcharge.
Apologies for any confusion caused.
