BT to move start of evening from 6pm - 7pm

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2161401
Are PlusNet likely to follow suit as they are part of BT?
I still use BT for calls and have the Unlimited Weekends and Evenings plan.  This might be a good time to switch, as I feel I am being pushed to an Anytime plan by BT.

Have a look at 18185 as both Plusnet and BT allow this to be used.
I don't make enough daytime calls to justify paying £5 per month for Anytime so this fits my purposes very well Smiley

Re: BT to move start of evening from 6pm - 7pm

Back in the old days of mobile tarrifs when there wasn't any of the anytime minutes and you had either a peak tarrif or an off-peak tarrif the off-peak would start at 7pm on them and a lot of people just assumed the offpeak time was the same as BT and got caught out.  From reading http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010/jan/29/bt-free-evening-calls-change it sounds as if a lot of people may get caught out with this one.
Lets hope plusnet don't follow what BT does with this one.

I'd like to bet Plusnet will follow BT's lead.    If not with the change of hours but with increased tariffs.    Remember who owns Plusnet!!!

Re: BT to move start of evening from 6pm - 7pm

It was a bit sneaky of BT to hide the announcement in amongst an email saying - look how good we are, we've done all these things for you, the customer.  And half a page later saying, oh by the way, we just thought we'd mention a few changes to our terms and conditions, and then hiding this announcement further down from that!

Given that we've only just refreshed our Talk products I can't see the change being made anytime soon, if at all.

Re: BT to move start of evening from 6pm - 7pm

I just had my phone installed yesterday, but I can't find the actual start of evening time anywhere on the plus.net website.  I assume from this thread that evening begins at 6pm for those of us on evening and weekend plans.  Is that correct?  If so, this should be posted somewhere on the site, but I for the life of me couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Sam
