Is this any good for you?:

It is £1 per month off the bill. I have it and it has been renewed for the second year but I pay by direct debit and have my bill online.
It looks as if it is only on until 30th June 2010.
Have also got privacy at home free (including number display).

Re: Are plusnet cheaper than BT??

I found the savings marginal. Currently I am on BT E&W rolling contract, paperless billing, and make few mobile calls. My quarterly bills are around the £50 mark.
An extensive detailed analysis of last twelve months' usage, updated to current prices, showed I would save some £7 p.a. Taking in to consideration that usage fluctuates, there was IMO not enough cost reduction to warrant a change.
So do the maths. Wink
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: Are plusnet cheaper than BT??

Market areas can affect the cost of broadband but do not affect the cost of the phone element.

Stuff you need to know
You'll need a Plusnet or BT landline to get our broadband. Our landline service (called Home Phone) costs £11.25 a month including evening and weekend calls.

No mention of market areas there!

Re: Are plusnet cheaper than BT??

Wholesale pricing for telephone is not affected by market area.
Market area was brought in by Ofcom, specifically in relation to broadband competition. This link may provide some insight.

Exactly...but the prices do say 'from'...perhaps 'between' might be a better way of putting it instead?
