Adding phone numbers to Call Protect

To add a number to call protect do I have to answer the call on my handset or can I let it ring until they ring off and then add it using 1572? 

I'm unable to connect to 1572 although call protect shows as being active in my account.

Hi @benrm . That looks like a two-part question

If you want to add a number to the blocked list, unfortunately you do have to at least accept the call, although if you know it is fake/unwanted, just accept it, then close the connection without speaking, then you are able to 'add last accepted call to the blocklist'

What happens if you try to access 1572?

I get the message 'this service cannot be connected'

Ah - OK. In that case you need to contact Plusnet and ask them to remove/reinstall and activate it. This is a recurring problem with a simple solution.

Thank you so much for the spreadsheet of 1572 options, very useful and hopefully will help me stop many nuisance international calls at least. I hadn't found my way into the Option 4 settings menu.
