2 phone lines

hi we have 2 phone lines in this property

1 with my plusnet package on

and

2 which was my sons old bt phone line which he had his own broadband on he moved out and ive tried testing the phone number he had activated to the 2nd phone line but it no longer exists can 1 get this reactivated again if so how do i do this thankyou
