Does anyone know if it's possible to use these dialling prefixes (for cheaper, eg, international calls) in tandem with PlusNet phone? I'd like to get the hell out of BT ...

As far as I am aware, these work fine.
In fact, just tried 18866 and it said "Welcome to 18866" and invited me to register my telephone number so they could charge me. So I guess that is a yes.

Thanks, Liam. In which case it looks like BT's days are numbered!

Hi there,
We don't block any CPS services on our Home Phone packages, however we also cannot support them should they fail to work.

I did indeed, but as it's Monday morning I hope I'll be forgiven.

This is a surprise to me because when I transferred to Homephone last year I was told that I couldn't use the override numbers (I had used 1899 and 18185 prior to the changeover).
However, the only reason for using them now would be for the 08 numbers and Plusnet's prices are OK anyway. Quite often it is possible to find an alternative number on saynoto0870.
