18185 or 0808 1 703 703?

I intend moving from Bt, where I have been prefixing numbers by 18185, to Plusnet and understand that I have to use a different prefix 0808 1 703 703 followed by the whole number including 0.

This is what I understand from reading their 18185s FAQs, but I may be wrong. I also assume that there is no need to register again with 18185 since my phone number is the same. Sorry - a bit dim!

Any clarification appreciated.

The prefix codes do work with PlusNet,  see another recent thread

Or you can use the long number - no need to register again to use either

Incidentally my wife contacted PlusNet about set up/activation charges for calls using 18185 and the reply was We don't do 18185 service.

I suppose it is true and anyway it would perhaps not be in their interests to appear to support a service which effectively deprives them of income.
