1571 not working

Hello.
After having several days of about 30 missed calls while being at work, I have checked my phone and the voicemail (1571) is no longer working. It still says it is active on my control panel on my account. How do I make it work again?!

perhaps non of those 30 left a message
I have been on holiday for two weeks and out of the 15 missed calls only one left a message

Or dialling 1571 from your handset to see if you have the option to check your voicemail?  The best option however is as Peter has suggested to call yourself from your mobile/another line and see if you can leave yourself a message.
Any problems you should call us on 0800 432 0200 and choose the option for Telephone Faults for further investigation.

Sorry I should have put more details in the query. Yes I rang myself and it just rings and rings, so I dialled 1571 and it says 'this line does not have a call answering service. For further information on messaging services please contact your provider'.
I'll ring the number you gave, thanks!
It's just strange that it has just stopped working for no apparent reason when it's been fine for years

What lovely, polite and helpful staff you have! They said that for some reason it has been turned off and they should get it back for me by the morning.
