1571 Message received tone

Hi
I have a quick question regarding my 1571 service. My phone account was activated on Tuesday. Initially I had a message from Plusnet regarding the service......however the dialing tone  indicates that I have waiting messages....even though my voice mailbox is empty. What must I do to obtain a constant dialing tone?

Hi there,
Have you tried dialling 1571 and setting a PIN via option 3?
That should allow you to check your messages and delete them.

Thanks for the hint....the only option available  (according to the recorded message} is the choice of using a standard or personal greeting

Thanks for the advice.....I still do not have an option 3....hovever I left myself a message ...deleted it , and now have a normal dialling tone.
