I have found out the hard way that with PN you get billed 15p for using 1471. What other services which 1****** services to PN bill you for.
Feels a bit like cheap line rentals but watch out for the extras.

1471 is free to use. It is when you use the callback option that it charges the 15p.
If you have a look across other phone operators it is a fairly standard charge (BT 17.7p, Talk Talk 20p, Sky 17.7p)

In that case i am being missed charged as I have not made any call backs that I am aware of. While we are at it my call charges although not great are 97p in discrepancy. May be i will have to challenge these fees then. thanks for the info.
Long shot but as I am still having phone line noise issues is it possible that noise could be causing adhoc calls. Incoming call s in particular drop my broad band.

So when you've dialled 1471 and it's said "Number xxxxxxx called you today at 10:30am please press 3 to call back", you've never pressed the number to dial that number back ?
I use 1471 on my Plusnet line a few times a day and have never been charged for it. I don't use the dialback function though.

Picbits yes that is correct. I did use 1471 to check the issues I have with phone class dropping my broad band and noise. I have never pressed 3 to call back or phoned a number and set up ring back. My call charges and call log differ by 97p not including the 15p for a call back????

Hmm strange - hopefully one of the DCT will be on to pick this up in the morning.
I got charged for doing the callback on the 1471 many many years ago and have never used it again after finding out it charged for the callback.
There is also a charge when you call an engaged number and it asks you if you want a callback when their line is free.
