1 Month wait for Phone line normal?

I recently ordered unlimited fibre optic and I got a message today saying the engineer will be available on 6/2/2013. Is this normal? I was expecting it to be around 2 weeks. Is there anything I can do from my end to have the line installed sooner? I live in West London if that matters.

I hope you finally have a result. I've waited 6 weeks and now after the due date been told to expect a further 3 weeks delay at best
