0844 call charges

Hi. I have PlusNet Anytime and trying to see what the charge is if any for calls to 0844 numbers.  I recently spent ages on hold and then talking to British Airways Customer Services and I cannot find the cost of the call yet on my account.  The Anytime package includes 0845 numbers but does not mention 0844 numbers.  Any help?  Thanks!

Re: 0844 call charges

Hi,
Welcome to the forums  Smiley
0844 numbers are usually chargeable. Because of this I spent an age trying to find out the charges on the BA website for you to no avail. Roll_eyes
However, if you are using the standard number on their website, it is classified as G6 on our tariffs:
http://www.plus.net/home-broadband/tariffs/
This means it will have probably cost 15p setup, plus 7.62p a minute.
Your itemised bill should reflect this around 24 hours after the call has been made.
I hope you weren't on hold too long  Undecided

Re: 0844 call charges

@florides1,
A tip in future, it's always worth checking on the saynoto0870 www.saynoto0870.com site to see if there is an alternative to 0844 numbers
For instance for the main BA enquiry no 0844 493 0787 there is an alternative  0191 490 7900 which would be included in the Anytime package.

Re: 0844 call charges

The easiest way I know to find the cost is to get the charge band from http://www.bt.com/pricing/current/Call_Charges_boo/1632_d0e5.htm#1632-d0e5 and then look it up on http://www.plus.net/home-broadband/tariffs/ - it is under specialised service
