0800 numbers

Hi,
Is there any way to view these calls ?  I have looked at my itemised bill but they only show 01 and 0845 numbers. I need to tell a company when i called them.Is there any way to find this information?
thanks

Re: 0800 numbers

If you post the 0800 number on here, a Plusnet rep may be able to look it up for you, but they may have to PM you or put it in a ticket or email for privacy/security reasons.

Re: 0800 numbers

Hey - when did you make the calls?
I've been reliably informed that we don't receive any data for calls made to 0800 numbers and I've confirmed this in our database too!

Re: 0800 numbers

Have you checked the raw data from BTw, because it certainly used to contain that information?
I'd also suggest that if BTw are not supplying it to a CP, then you are unable to comply with the current legislation!

Re: 0800 numbers

BT retail don't show any 0800 usage either on their call records.

Re: 0800 numbers

Don't split hairs James, you are required to keep records of all numbers called, for a period of time, and I'm not going to waste my time looking out the relevant legislation to see what it is, or any other detail.

Re: 0800 numbers

I was merely asking if you were referring to a specific piece of legislation as you seemed to be adamant that we were doing something wrong.
No hair splitting, just a reasonable question.
As far as we are aware, there is nothing that states that we have to do this and as we do not receive the information, we don't.

They don't on the bill, nor have Plusnet on the bill, that is different from the raw data.

BTW have not sent us any CDRs (Call Data Records) containing a dialled number of 0800 in the past month or so. I searched the table which contains the raw CDR data data before we do any processing on it to ensure that this data is not cropped out on our side, but this data is only retained for a short period after processing is complete.
We're currently looking into the question around legislation but may take some time to be able to respond.

That's fair enough Ben, which is why I didn't want to go hunting to dig it all up!

Re: 0800 numbers

I had this problem when I was still with BT for my LR.
I called to cancel my car insurance using an 0800 number. When they subsequently wanted to sue me for non payment I tried to find the call details, only to find that 0800 numbers are NOT listed  Crazy However I did manage to persuade the company that I wouldn't take out 2 sets of insurance for the same car at the same time so they dropped the case.

Re: 0800 numbers

FYI They are/were listed by BT Wholesale - investigating further.
