Thanks in advance.

Re: 03xx Numbers

They are according to OFCOM - however someone got hit using the 03 PN support number so stick to 0800 for that.

That's what go me thinking. Lots of companies are switching to these 03 prefix numbers rather than 0844/0845 but don't seem to make it clear what the call charges to them are. If my understanding is correct they are aimed at cutting out profit making/taking from necessary services (e.g. some companies making a profit on calls to their complaints department etc.).
I'm with GiffGaff for mobile so 0800 is free from that anyway, but wanted clarification from home phone on Anytime call plan.

I think it was outside their "free" time package (whatever that was), though there's a different issue as to whether it should have been free at any time irrespective of call package as it was a call to PN.

Re: 03xx Numbers

Since my call package starts at 19:00 and the COT close at 17:30, what to do ?
But they are looking into the matter now.

Re: 03xx Numbers

Yes I see your point however in their defence they have the 0800 number to use as well.

Re: 03xx Numbers

But they CLEARLY state that calls to support are FREE from a PN line, not saying you MUST use the 0800 - which would be free ANYWAY.

Re: 03xx Numbers

Drifting well away from the original question here, isn't there a live separate thread already about support calls via these numbers?  Wink

Unless you ring the mobile friendly 03 number - which is what started this all

Re: 03xx Numbers

No, you're confusing the two issues!
The OP of this thread is specifically asking about the Anytime package - As calls to 03 numbers are/should be treated the same as calls to 01/02 numbers then they are covered by Anytime.
Hairy McBiker has rightly complained that he was charged for calling the 0330xxxxxx support number despite PN stating that all support calls are free.  From the comment above, I assume he has Evenings & Weekends in which case calls to 01/02/03 numbers are chargeable during the day.

Any calls made to numbers that start with 01, 02, or 03 are free (up to 60 minutes) with the Anytime call plan.

Not confusing the issue - just didn't know about the E & W bit
Well my billing date was Monday I had my service installed yesterday - I can't change my call package until a month.. Sucks 😕
