It should be an automatic prison sentence for anyone who causes physical harm to any person carrying out the duties of their job.
Come to think of it, it should also be an automatic prison sentence for carrying a knife in a public place without good reason.

Reminder to self - don't forget to remove pruning knife from pocket before going out.
Before anyone asks - I think the sharp ended blade is very close to or even is illegal  Undecided

I seem to recall a new item about a young man who was stopped by Police in the street carrying a long blade.
He claimed he worked in a Kebab shop and was on his way home from work.

My step son came over to see us yesterday, he has a small CC Van, H sleeps in it when he goes on his trips.
He is well up on the field Archery and travels hundreds of miles for competition,  In the back of his van was a long bladed implement, about the size of a golf  club with a curved sharp end,  he claimed it was to look for lost arrows.

Oh and he is a Police Sergeant

Good, I'm glad they've been caught. Not paying a ticket is one thing but stabbing someone is sick. No-one has the right to try and mame someone just because they've been caught in the wrong or for any other reason.
Oh and yes, I'd do the job.. applied a couple of times but as usual with any job railway related you never hear back.

Ah you'll be referring to "Physical KITA", no longer an approved staff motivation technique.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.
