whats your favourite breakfast cereal?

After not eating breakfast cereal for the last 5 yrs or so, when i was out shopping in Sainsburys last week, i came across a range from dorset cereals , and went for "simply delicious muesli". its the best tasting muesli/breakfast cereal i have eaten and am now totally hooked.

Re: whats your favourite breakfast cereal?

My favourite cereal is one that is hard to come by. I buy it in the 99p shops when it occasionally appears.
It's a Kellogg special K variant which has, amongst other things in it, little curls of white chocolate. As the packaging is not in English I assume this is just made for foreign markets.
The similar special K one done here which has curls of dark chocolate in it is bland and tasteless by comparison.

Usually Kellogg's Crunchy Nut, and occasionally Post's Grape-Nuts* when I can find them.

Re: whats your favourite breakfast cereal?

steel cut oats
Had the same breakfast cereal since childhood, always available, virtually anywhere.
We order by the 25kg sack from a 'well known Sheffield Whole Food supplier'
Goes into making buscuits, Oat cakes, and thickens soups and stews.

Re: whats your favourite breakfast cereal?

I remember reading one time that rather than eating the cornflakes that more nutrition can be got by eating the cardboard packet they came in and that eating them for breakfast ensured a daily intake of milk and sugar.
Have to say that Frosties are my favourite and not just for breakfast, they make a nice snack when the nibbles grab me  Smiley

A healthy bowl of porridge...
... topped with double cream.
Oh, that's after either 3 or 4 eggs on toast or eggs, bacon and toast. Yummy  Cool

Re: whats your favourite breakfast cereal?

@randpwar, that's right but most people do it the other way round. Many skip breakfast, grab a quick sandwich for lunch and then eat a big meal in the evening.

I've always tried to have some breakfast as the most important meal of the day.
