Re: tyre pressures

I ordered a cylinder of Nitrogen last week but not to fill my tyres.
Costco claim that the compound that tyres are made from is less permeable to Nitrogen and therefore the tyre pressures need less attention.

Re: tyre pressures

Welding?
Yes, it is true that tyres are somewhat less permeable to Nitrogen, but it's hardly a major problem.
After all, if it was significant, your tyres, with repeated top-ups, would eventually lose Oxygen and become more "Nitrogenous".

Welding?

Not necessarily a con but a source of debate as seen here http://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/story/?nID=34577

If you buy tyres at Costco they will fill them with Nitrogen when they fit them.

In quite nippy weather, oxygen would liquefy, but nitrogen would remain gaseous Cheesy

Re: tyre pressures

I used to muck about with liquid nitrogen, we used it as a reference in a thermal Image Camera, up to about 1994, then we got more modern
