treemen and broadband

Tree people working two doors down dropped as branch through our telephone cable this morning, and next door's as well.  Plusnet say Openreach promise to have it back by tomorrow night.
Sending this thanks to the help of neighbours the other side and their wifi.
I am leaving the modem on and connected (to the master socket though of course not to the internet).  Will openreach disconnect everything while they fix the line and then reconnect, or might I get dodgy semi-connections during their rewiring that keep connecting/disconnecting the modem and kill my DLM?

Re: treemen and broadband

I guess it should have been on fibre.  All's well that ends well ~ line now a little faster than before.  Won't make much difference as available download was already well above the 40 limit I have chosen, but extra SNR so probably less risk of losing upload speed or getting interleaved.
