strictly come dancing

I am getting fed up of the reasonably good dancers getting low votes from viewers while those who do not seem to be able to dance in rhythm or with any skill keep getting through!!  Even the judges cannot understand what is happening............... in past series by now the poor dancers have been weeded out!
Obviously someome is getting more votes than they deserve........... is it because they are on TV but the other side each day reminding viewers to vote for them?  Some who are voting are obviously not watching the show!

Re: strictly come dancing

why would you vote for Kate to be in Final - she cannot dance like some of others?

I hope that wasn't addressed at me - if it was just ask yourself why I put a question mark and an angry emoticon at the end!

Re: strictly come dancing

These saturday evening shows are becoming ridiculous.
Whatever happened to good old action packed TV like the A-Team?
To be honest, the X-Factor is only aimed at making 4 famous judges a bit famouser and come dancing is just....
Really, why do the TV channels bother slugging it out for ratings with shows as bad as this?
It's like those horrible sundays when 3 of the 5 terrestrial channels will be showing footie at the same time - why? - Do they not realise we like choice?
I personally dislike footie, and I certainly dislike these saturday night reality musical shows. If the music and dancing were 1/2 modern then maybe I could accept it. Most of the time it's stuff that belongs in the 50's!!!
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Unfortunately wouldn't be allowed but saw them on stage many years ago at Kingston (upon Thames) Empire.
Quite agree with comments about good dancers ending up in the dance off.
When they start asking people to vote for next weeks show 7 days in advance it's obvious that public vote isn't based on dancing.
At least the show raises a lot of money for "Children in Need"

The problem is that, as the celebs prove, people just can't do ballroom dancing as a matter of course these days.
Back in the 50s and 60s we used to put on a suit and go to a dance hall on a Sat night. As a chap one had problems if one couldn't do the waltz, foxtrot, quickstep and a decent jive as one had to lead.

There was no angry emoticon at the end of your comment and honestly I was not doubting your sanity - just others!

I think you must have a problem with your PC not displaying emoticons - if you look I haven't edited the post so the angry emoticon has been there from when I posted.
