spell checker

I guess this question has been asked before but is there any way we could have a spell checker (english version) added to these forums for anyone who wishes to use it ?

Re: spell checker

People have the option of using a browser with a spell-checker add-on.

Re: spell checker

I suppose one could always use Firefox with English ( British) dictionary.

Re: spell checker

Here's an add-on for Firefox which will give you a British dictionary.

Re: spell checker

In Firefox 3.6 itself ensure that Tools/Options/Advanced/Check my spelling as I type is checked.
The default dictionary will be English-US so, as artmo has pointed out, you will also need to download and select the English-UK dictionary.

Re: spell checker

Normally I find the Firefox British English spell-checker is fine but, it can be caught out; it faults some words ending ise wanting to use the US ize.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

That could simply be it adopting Oxford spelling.
