nVidia Gaming Cards on sale at Amazon

Just thought I'd let you know that Amazon appear to have some good discounts on nVidia Cards.

Re: nVidia Gaming Cards on sale at Amazon

The GTX1080Ti must be coming out shortly then... Grin

Still, would like something a bit newer than my GTX750Ti, but I haven't got half a grand to pay for one, and if I did have half a grand, I'd put it towards getting a nice 8x10 shed in the garden to replace the rotten, collapse-o-matic shack I presently use... Funny

Re: nVidia Gaming Cards on sale at Amazon

Well, I was moving the workbench out there and a pane of glass just fell out of one of the windows, luckily it landed on a load of weeds outside, but it is automatically self-dismantling as it rots away... Grin

And a free game.

I must be out of touch. For that price I'd expect a free entire PC system and more.

How do you know with these things if one is better/faster than another? Is it possible by looking at the name such as Canon cameras - the better models have few numbers in their name.

I guess the best place for that would be online hardware reviews and comparison sites, such as Toms Hardware et al. For me I've always been of the opinion that a frame rate over 30 fps is wasted. A TV uses 24 fps and we're convinced that things are moving, so if you can fool your eyes at this rate isn't anything else a waste of time!

Go to a GPU Comparison site:

http://gpuboss.com/compare-gpus

That'll do a side-by-side comparison of what two GPUs can and cannot do... Smiley

There's also one for CPUs too:

Re: nVidia Gaming Cards on sale at Amazon

I would presume that 80% of people here do not care what CPU / GFX is on their machine , as most will go for the best spec for the price they want to pay Smiley

but for top of the range hardware i try to max out my PC for Games

Asus ROG Hero Vii Z97 , Intel i5 4690k ,ROG Asus Strix 1070,
samsung 850evo 250gig , WD black 2 TB . Asus Phoebus sound ,
16 gig Avexir ram 2400 , water cooling Corsair H100i gtx ,
Corsair 750HXI Psu , Phanteks Enthoo pro case .

Re: nVidia Gaming Cards on sale at Amazon

Well £318 for the CHEAPEST. I will stick with the GTX75Ti I got last year. That was a major upgrade for me, let me play some of the newer games.
NB I don't buy the latest games as 1) I can't afford them. 2) they will be 50% within 6 months anyway.
