mobile topup silliness

I needed a topup for my ee sim for end of the month, I got it with a MIFI device including 2Gb of data, valid for 30 days, so it will have expired by the time I want to use it again, having used 1.3Gb over the 8 days I was in Yorkshire last month.
So I checked the costs:
£10 gives me 1Gb valid for 30 days.
£1 gives me 100Mb for 7 days.
So was looking at ~£13 assuming I used the same amount.
Or ebay:
NEW sim with 2Gb of data :
cost £6.99 HERE
It's a no brainer really, I don't care about the number, it is a MIFI device no calls to/from it.
I was thinking of putting a 3 sim in it, but at this cost it is cheaper than 3. (I unlocked it (the mifi) when I got it, don't like to be tied to a provider)

Confusing. £6.99 on front page. £7.50 on description page. A good deal either way.

Re: mobile topup silliness

I paid less than the head line cost as well as I did a "best offer" which was accepted immediately. But another example of the ripping off of existing customers/incentives for new customers not available to existing customers.
I would have been happy to top up, but given the savings I will just buy a new sim in the future.
